Bret Lentz, head coach
Head Coach Bret Lentz has been the head coach at Trinity Academy since 2017. During his time as Trinity Academy’s head coach, the baseball team has been the Regional champion, making consecutive trips to the State tournament, been Central Plains League champions, had many players named to the All-League, All-Metro, and All-State teams, and several students go on to play baseball at the college level.
Lentz has experience playing under many great coaches such as Kevin Seitzer (coach for the Braves, Royals, Diamondbacks and Blue Jays) and Mike MacFarlane (former catcher for the Royals, Red Sox and A’s).
Following high school, Lentz played baseball at Butler County Community College for two years before finishing his career at Tabor College under Mark Standiford. Lentz graduated from Tabor with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Ed and a minor in history. He is currently finishing his masters in History from Liberty University.
