Volleyball Directions

                                                    Fall of 2007

Eureka – August 28^th

The dual begins at 5:00 p.m.

All 3 teams will be playing.

The teams will leave at 2:45 p.m.

Go north on Greenwich to Hwy 254.  Go east to El Dorado.  In El Dorado 254 turns into Hwy 54.  Take 54 east to Eureka.  Go through Eureka.  Turn north (left) on Jefferson Street (the first street past McDonald’s).  The school address is 815 N. Jefferson.  Travel time is about 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Collegiate/Independent Triangular – August 30th

The triangular begins at 5:00 p.m

Wichita Collegiate School is located at 1221 N. Webb Rd.

Freshmen at Chaparral – September 4th

Play begins at 5:00 p.m.

Team will leave at 2:45 p.m.

Two routes:

Take the turnpike south to Wellington (Hwy 160) and go west to Harper.  Follow Hwy 160 through Harper to the west edge.  At the stop sign go left (south) 3 ½ miles to the High School.  Go past the flashing light about a mile.  Do not turn at the flashing light

Great Bend/Conway Springs – September 6th

The V/JV matches begin at 5:00 p.m.

The team will leave at 2:00 p.m.

Take Hwy 96 to I-135N.  Go to the 2^nd McPherson exit and go left at the top of the hill.  This is Hwy 56.  Take 56 west to Great Bend.  As you enter town turn right onto US-281 Bypass.  Turn left on 19^th Street and then right onto Morton Street.  The high school is at 2027 Morton.

Travel time is about 2 hours.

Udall JV Tourney - September 8th

The tournament begins at 10:00 a.m.

The team will leave at 8:45 a.m.

Take HWY 96 south to Kellogg and go east to Andover Rd.  Go south on Andover Rd. to K-15.  Turn left on K-15 and go into Udall.  In Udall turn right at the gas station and take an immediate right onto K-55 Hwy.  Turn left on Broadway and follow to the school.

Travel time is about 45 minutes.

Chaparral – September 15th

Varsity Tournament begins at 9:00 a.m.

Team will leave at 6:45 to 7:00 a.m.

Two routes:

Take the turnpike south to Wellington (Hwy 160) and go west to Harper.  Follow Hwy 160 through Harper to the west edge.  At the stop sign go left (south) 3 ½ miles to the High School.  Go past the flashing light about a mile.  Do not turn at the flashing light.

Travel time is about 1 ½ hrs to 1 hr 45 min.

2^nd route:

Take 235 around the city to K-42.  Past Suppesville go south on K-2 to Harper.  At the stop sign turn right (west) onto Hwy 160 and go through Harper.  Follow the directions above from this point.

Bluestem JV Tourney – September 15th

JV tourney begins at 9:00 a.m.

Team will leave at 7:45 a.m.

Take Hwy 96 east to Kellogg and go east through Augusta.  The Hwy becomes 400.  When Hwy 400 splits stay to the left going towards Fredonia.  When you are on the 2 lane go 3 miles and Bluestem High School will be on the left side of the Highway.

Travel time is 30 to 40 minutes.

Pratt – September 18^th

V/JV matches will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Teams will leave at 2:40 p.m.

Take Hwy 96 west to 235.  Exit on Kellogg going west.  Take Hwy 54 straight west to Pratt.  Turn left onto S. Hamilton St.  The high school is at 401 S. Hamilton.  Travel time is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Maize – September 20^th

V/JV matches will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Teams will leave at 3:30 p.m.

Take Hwy 96 west to Maize exit and go south to 45^th street.  Turn right on 45^th street.  The high school is at 11600 W. 45^th St. N.  Travel time is about 30 minutes.

Douglass Tourney - September 22nd

Varsity tourney begins at 9:00 a.m.

Team will leave at 7:45 a.m.

Take Hwy 96 east to Kellogg and go east to Augusta.  In Augusta go south on Hwy 77.  Hwy 77 will take you to Douglass and the High School is on the west side of the Highway.

Travel time is about 30 minutes.

Medicine Lodge– September 25th

V/JV matches will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Team will leave at 2:15 p.m.

There are 2 routes:  Take the turnpike south to Wellington (Hwy 160) and go west through Harper to Medicine Lodge.  Go through town to stop light at US 281.  Turn right  onto 281, the right on Eldorado Ave.  The high school is at 400 W. Eldorado Ave. 

Take 235 around the city to K-42.  Take K-42 west past Suppesville then go south on K-2 to Harper.  At the stop sign turn right (west) onto Hwy 160 and go through Harper to Medicine Lodge.

Travel time is about 1 hr. 45 minutes.

Belle Plaine – September 29th

Varsity tournament begins at 9:00 a.m.

Team leaves at 7:15a.m.

Take the turnpike south to the Mulvane exit.  Go east on Hwy 53 to Oliver Street and go south.  This will take you into Belle Plaine.  At 10^th street turn right (west) and this will take you right to the High School.

Travel time is 45 min.

Salijna Sacred Heart - October 8th

JV quad begins at 5:00 p.m.

Team will leave at 2:45 p.m.

Take I-135 north to Salina.  Exit at Magnolia Street and turn right on that street.

Follow Magnolia to 9^th street.  Turn (north) left on 9^th Street.  When you reach the intersection of 9^th & Cloud turn (east) right on Cloud.  When you cross the railroad tracks turn right immediately.  The street will look like the parking lot for St. Mary’s church.  Follow this street to the right and Sacred Heart School is next to the church.  Travel time is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Wellington – October 8^th

Freshmen quad begins at 5:00 p.m.

Team will leave at 3:45 p.m.

Take the turnpike south to Wellington, exit and go right into town.  The high school will be on your left just past the new Walmart on the east side of town.  Travel time is about 45 minutes.

Belle Plaine – October 9th

V/JV matches will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Team will leave at 3:30 p.m.

Take the turnpike south to the Mulvane exit.  Go east on Hwy 53 to Oliver Street and go south.  This will take you into Belle Plaine.  At 10^th street turn right (west) and this will take you right to the High School.  Alternate sight is the middle school which is in the same complex just south of the main gym.

Travel time is 35 min. to 45 min

Bluestem – October 16^th

V/JV matches will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Team will leave at 3:30 p.m.

Take Hwy 96 east to Kellogg and go east through Augusta.  The Hwy becomes 400.  When Hwy 400 splits stay to the left going towards Fredonia.  When you are on the 2 lane go 3 miles and Bluestem High School will be on the left side of the Highway.  The alternate site is the middle school which is just north of the high school.

Travel time is 30 to 40 minutes.
