Cross Country Directions
Fall of 2007
Clearwater – August 30th
Meet begins at 4:30 p.m.
Teams will leave at 2:30 p.m.
Take the turnpike south to the Haysville exit and go left (west) toward Haysville. At the stop light go south (left) on Us. 81. Go four miles to the road with the sign to Clearwater. Go right (west) on this road which is 103rd St. The school is at the corner of 103rd and 135th W.
Travel time is about 45 minutes.
Hesston – September 6th
Meet begins at 4:00 p.m.
Teams will leave at 2:00 p.m.
They will be running on the Hesston Golf Course. The course is visible from I-135N. Take I-135 north to Hesston. Exit at Hesston and go left at the stop sign and left again on the first access road. Follow the signs to the course.
Travel time is about 40 minutes.
Wamego – September 8th
Meet begins at 11:30 a.m.
Teams will leave at 7:30 a.m.
Take Hwy 96 to I-135 N. Go through Newton and exit on Hwy 15 N. When in Abilene get on I- 70 east. Exit at the Wamego exit. Turn left at Hwy 24 and follow to the golf course on the west end of Wamego. The golf course is on the left hand side. Travel time is about 2 hours 30 minutes.
Chaparral – September 13th
Meet begins at 4:30 p.m.
Team will leave at 1:50 p.m. Two routes:
Take the turnpike south to Wellington (Hwy 160) and go west to Harper. Follow Hwy 160 through Harper to the west edge. At the stop sign go left (south) 3 ½ miles to the High School. Go past the flashing light about a mile. Do not turn at the flashing light.(Where Hwy 160 turns) Go past the high school and in the next few miles you will see signs to Anthony Lake. The third sign you will see is for the Anthony Golf Course. Turn right, you will go over the dam at Anthony Lake before coming to the golf course. Meet at the club house.
Travel time is about 1 ½ hrs to 1 hr 45 min.
2nd route:
Take 235 around the city to K-42. Past Suppesville go south on K-2 to Harper. At the stop sign turn right (west) onto Hwy 160 and go through Harper. Follow the directions above from this point.
Berean Academy – September 27th
Meet begins at 4:00 p.m.
Teams will leave at 2:15 p.m.
Take 21st Street east to Andover Road. Go north on Andover Road until you run out of pavement. Turn left and go about 4 miles. Turn right (north) on East Lake Road and look for signs for the meet. East Lake Road is also Greenwich. If you choose to go straight up Greenwich there is a five mile stretch that is gravel. Travel time is about 40 minutes.
Riley County – October 6th
Meet will begin at 10:45 a.m.
Teams will leave at 6:45 a.m.
They will run on the Leonardville golf course. Take I-135 north through Newton to Hwy 15. Take Hwy 15 north to Clay Center. In Clay Center go east on Hwy 24 to Leonardville. Go throught town to the corner where the bank is (bank is on the right) and turn left at that intersection and go north to the golf course. It is about 3 blocks.
Travel time is about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
League Meet at Independent
Meet will begin at 4:00 p.m.
Teams will leave at 2:45 p.m.
Independent is at 8317 E. Douglas. Travel time is about 15 minutes.
