SOPHOMORE YEAR

Focus on building academic skills and continue to pursue extracurricular activities that interest you.

Fall

·        Continue to take challenging courses.

·        Take PLAN (ACT’s comprehensive assessment test) in Oct.

·        Take the PSAT in Oct.

·        Pursue extracurricular activities within and outside your school.

·        Volunteer your time to a worthwhile cause.

·        Update your resume.

·        Start researching colleges

·        Meet with college rep's that visit Trinity.

Winter/Spring

·        Set a goal to maintain high grades.

·        Identify work, study, and/or athletic programs that you can become

          involved in during the summer.

·        Check into college summer programs, if interested.

·        Attend college fairs and visit campuses.

·        Don’t forget your resume!

Summer

·        Keep your math and vocabulary skills sharp.

·        Read.

·        Involve yourself in at least one organized work, athletic, or study

program this summer.

·        Continue volunteer work in an area of interest.

·        Work on weaknesses identified by your PSAT and PLAN scores.

·        Continue to research and visit colleges.
