Uniform Requirements
All students at Trinity Academy wear a school uniform. Since Trinity Academy is a place of learning, the appearance of students should encourage the learning process rather than distract. There are several important reasons why uniforms are required to be worn at Trinity Academy. The wearing of uniforms:
| Contribute to better academic performance and improved student behavior. | |
| Help shape the overall climate of the school as a place of learning and social interaction. | |
| Helps to de-emphasize the stress of outward appearance and emphasize, in its place, the inner qualities and character development. | |
| Helps to dispense with the competition of socio-economic status. |
Students are required to be in uniform during the school day (arrival through 3:15 p.m.) and for all supervised academic activities occurring in the academic hall immediately before or after school hours. Seniors who are coming back to Excel, tutorial or detention are expected to be in uniform. The school uniform is listed below and may be purchased at Parker Uniforms, 650 North Carriage Parkway #85, telephone number 687-4634. Trinity logo items may be purchased at Trinity Academy.
All uniforms must fit properly and no additions to the uniform may be made. Upon arriving at school, coats are to be placed in lockers or hung on a coat rack during the school day. Coats, jackets and hats are not to be brought into the classrooms. Visible tattoos or body piercing other than girl’s earrings are not allowed. Extreme hair colors and hairstyles are not allowed. All shirts must be worn tucked in. Sagging is not allowed. Any special exceptions or deviations from the uniform code will be determined by administration, and appropriate action will be taken.

Responsibility: The school has established an appearance code that promotes and allows color coordinating which does not result in one specified look for all students. In addition, in order to promote good stewardship, some items may be purchased at several different locations. Since students purchase their clothing, shoes, and personal belongings as part of the family unit and prepare for school at home, a great responsibility rest upon the parent to give proper guidance and perspective in the process. We would greatly prefer appropriate clothing and appearance decisions to be handled at home in order to insure compliance with Trinity Academy standards, Paul, in Romans 14:13 encouraged us not to put a stumbling block in a brother’s way.
Correction: Students are responsible to follow the student appearance code. Repeated violations will result in disciplinary action. Obvious violations may require a student remaining in the office until his/her parents bring a change of clothing or take the student home until the violation is corrected. Resulting absences are unexcused. Areas of subjectivity are left to the discretion of the administration.
Non-Uniform Days: Occasionally, the School may have a non-uniform day related to a particular theme. Trinity standards of modesty apply on these days. Clothing for both boys and girls should cover their mid-section at all times. In addition, shorts and tank tops are not appropriate.
