Dear parents:
At Trinity Academy, we are committed to impacting lives for eternity by touching the hearts and minds of students on a daily basis. This eternal investment in the lives of our young people can only be accomplished through the sacrificial partnership of parents and faculty.
Trinity's mission has remained clear since its founding in 1993 - A prayerful dedication "to providing a Christ-centered college preparatory education for parents and students committed to spiritual growth and academic excellence." In order to best accomplish this mission, Trinity is committed to be a "Living Curriculum School." Our staff and teachers are the "Living Curriculum" who model Christ so that students are engaged in pursuing truth, maturing their faith and building character.
As students see Jesus Christ in each teacher they grow more like Christ himself. Jesus said, "No student is above his teacher, but anyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher" (Luke 6:40 emphasis added). Trinity is a discipleship-based school where students who are committed to spiritual growth and academic excellence can flourish. Our goal as those who lead your children is to be a model of Christ, worthy of imitation by your son or daughter.
Many places of education are literally the "blind leading the blind" and have fallen into the pit of moral, spiritual and ethical relativism. I am proud to say that Trinity Academy is, and always will be, dedicated to pursuing the truth of Jesus Christ in His fullness and passing that truth on to young people. This principle, laid out by the apostle Paul is found in II Timothy 2:2 and states, "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others."
Our theme verse for the 2007-2008 school year is Hebrews 3:12-14. It says, "See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But...ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER DAILY..., as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the CONFIDENCE we had at first."
We are humbled before God with the opportunity we have on a daily basis to disciple the next generation of young people, and we are thankful for the opportunity to partner with you. Remember, we are here to serve you and look forward to a great year together.
In Christ,
David Swank
